Bringing Provence to London

I am getting so excited because this past weekend was really the first time where I was actually WARM outside in a t-shirt! I feel like this year I’ve been even more looking forward to summer than usual. I just missed the greenery, the sun, the warmth and especially the late sunsets so much this past winter!! I’m definitely a summer baby!

Because I’m so eager for summer to arrive, I decided to take matters into my own hands and set up a lunch outside with a few of my most vivid memories of my summers spent in Provence.

I decided on a purple theme, which went so perfectly well with these orchids.

I placed three pots of orchids as a centerpiece – might be a little bit of an overdose, but I love the mix of the three tones of purple.

I used a table runner as well as placemats, which turned out really well. I always love that combination.

As for the tableware, I stacked 3 plates one on top of the other and topped it off with a fake orchid flower, to stick with my theme.

Overall, this was a really simple table setting since creating the center piece was so easy! You can also mix and match flower pots as a center piece – using different kinds of flowers, mixing colours and heights looks really good as well.

I’m so excited to replicate this table decor throughout the summer when we have friends and family over!

What do you like most about summer?

P.S. Can you tell that I had a hard time winding down the number of pictures?! I took 98 pictures in total!!! And they were all so nice, I had a real hard time deciding. Sorry for the picture overload! 😉
