Stop and Smell the Roses

Hi friends! As you probably noticed, this blog post is going up 2 days late. Yup, I feel super overwhelmed with everything going on this week and have not found a second to work on my blog. I’m into my third week in my job and its really picking up as I’m learning the ropes. I’m also trying to get ahead on bigger projects that are coming out later this year on Live, Love n Create. And on top of that, I’ve had to deal with more personal hick ups – but this is not the place to talk about it.

That being said, I really reallyyyy love this week’s blog post. I found these plates (with these ones), and glasses at John Lewis that I absolutely loved so had to get them. If you know me, you know my love for turquoise. And for some reason, I pictured these to go so well with baby pink roses and eucalyptus and it did not disappoint. Don’t you just love it when the exact image you picture in your head becomes a reality? It doesn’t happen often, but my oh my do I love it when it does.

I also got these two table runners, in the same tone with the matching napkins and of course grabbed my trusty sparkly white tablecloth (I think its sold out, I can’t find it online).

But lets talk about the flowers though, because they really pull the whole tablescape together.

I dug out this round mirror I completely forgot I had… Get ready, because you’ll see a lotttt of it in the future. I absolutely love how it reflects the flowers so we get double the amount and double the size of the centerpiece. Haha.

I also found this silver flower pot, in which I soaked an oasis foam and arranged my flowers and foliage. If you’re trying to get better at making centerpieces, oasis foam is the name of the game, my friend. Seriously, you can make so many cool creations with that stuff.

I just love that combo! Looking forward to recreating this in the future.

Of course, I had to add a couple of candles. Make sure your stems aren’t too low or they’ll burn…ahem…because that’s totally what happened to me… you can see it on the picture above if you look closely ;).

Also, lets talk about these funky long bubble vases (haha my description is quite ridiculous, but I don’t know how else to call them…). They’re perfect if you have a few left over flowers like I did! But seriously, I love them so much. They don’t overpower the table so can totally go with larger centerpieces and really add something to the whole look of the table.

^ See? How pretty are these? Also, I added a few glass pebbles, just because. They’re super discrete so why not!!

^ Spot the reindeer. Haha.

I really love this colour combination and look forward to using this tableware set more in the future. This will definitely be my go to for fancier tablescapes. I hope you got some inspiration from this table decor! Go take a look in your cupboards, I’m sure you’ll be able to find fun items to spice up your go-to tablescapes. Even one piece will make a huge difference!

P.S. I’m writing this post while listening to The Greatest Showman soundtrack! I absolutely loved the movie but I probably love the soundtrack even more. So inspiring.

Have an amazing rest of your week, my dear!
