Summer Whites

Hello friends! This is the last of the series of blog posts from the South of France and to be honest, this might be my favourite blog posts so far. I looove how this dinner setting turned out! From the tableware to the lights to the setting, it all looks so dreamy! Gosh, I wish I could go back to that night!

I decided on an all-white theme but keeping the table bare, to add a little touch of rustic chic. For the table I let the tableware speak for itself, by keeping things pretty simple. I mean, have you seen these plates?! So flirty and feminine, I’m obsessed. I wish I knew where they were from or else I’d link them for you here!

I only added a few tea lights for nightfall and a small bouquet of white oleanders, a real classic in the South of France, in the middle of the table to add a little height. You see them everywhere and I absolutely love these flowers!

Oh and I also cut a few branches from the neighbouring olive trees to add to the plates, keeping with the green tones of the surroundings. We have so many olive trees in the garden, I’m not too worried about depleting our stock of olive oil. Haha. I can’t wait to come back for olive picking season in November!

But lets talk about the real star of the show: the lights! I love love love fairy lights, and I have recently started using them all year round – for any and every occasion. I used to think they looked too Christmas-y but warm white lights are especially wonderful for summer nights.

Little side note: I cannot wait for the holiday season so I can go all out of the Christmas decor again! Am I the only crazy person out there?! (I’ll for sure post pictures on the blog – do not worry! 😉 )

But I’m getting sidetracked, its still summer!! Haha. Anyways as well as the garden lights that we have lighting up some trees in our garden, I decided to add solar-powered fairy lights (really practical since you don’t need a plug outlet) in the tree that’s on our terrace and some mason jars filled with a string of fairy lights hanging from the tree (also solar-powered). Ahh I’m obsessed! I also think this would look great for a wedding. So romantic!!

Here’s a close-up shot of the lights.

And here’s the view from afar!

I love looking at the difference between daytime and nighttime. It really has a completely different feel!!

Honestly, a delicious dinner spent with wonderful people in such a beautiful setting is hard to beat! But now its time to turn the page and make room for Autumn! Not too bad of a season either!! 🙂 I’m looking forward to some more wonderful events in this last half of the year!

Have a good week, friends!! What are you most excited about for Autumn?
